Dr Dan Parnell

Dan’s role is to lead Research & Knowledge Exchange. This includes:

  • Leading the development of Association of Sporting Directors (ASD) website, quality content and invited articles.
  • The development of an interview programme to showcase applied practice of Sporting Directors.
  • To provide leadership on the ‘learning environment’ within the ASD events programme.

Outside of this, Dan is a Senior Lecturer in Sport Business at the Centre of Sport Business within the University of Liverpool Management School. Dan is collegiate scholar with a reputation for current, policy-relevant, empirically-rich research in areas that closely connect with sport business management and policy, who engages closely with the sport industry. He has written extensively for academic, industry and media publications.

Further to this, Dan is regularly involved in the delivery of senior executive mentorship and education, alongside facilitating positive organisational change, performance management and recruitment in elite level football.
